RECOVERY / ZERO WASTE DISCHARGE SYSTEMS (ZLD)

Considering the point of water treatment technologies and investment costs, zero waste discharge or recovery facilities provide significant advantages for the private or public sector, which have a high demand for water or use a high amount of water in the process.

Advantages of Recycling / Zero Waste Discharge System Applications

  • Providing cost advantage
  • Environmental risks reduced
  • Decreasing and simplifying environmental management procedures
  • Increased productivity throughout the company
  • Ensuring the reduction of environmental risks
  • To become more competitive with environment-quality sensitivity in national and international markets

ZLD systems turn the waste water source into a raw water source for reuse, thereby creating a serious economic gain. In ZLD systems, the most advanced waste water treatment technologies are used to recycle and purify almost all of the waste water produced.

  • Discharge water recoverability can be provided in the cooling tower.
  • The sulfur in flue gas purification waters can be removed and water can be recovered.
  • Waste from process waters will be treated and turned into process water that can be used in the same systems.
  • Recycling can be achieved in industrial wastewater.

DECARBONIZATION SYSTEMS

Removal of high alkalinity in the water is also the process of precipitation with lime and other chemicals in order to remove other ions dissolved in water to a certain rate (bicarbonates, sulfates, nitrates, etc.).

COOLING TOWER WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS

It is the filtration processes for cleaning the water polluted in the towers after circulation, especially in the AKM angle. For this, sand filters (Site Filter) or mechanical filters are generally used.

PILOT FACILITIES

The pilot plant is a small-scale treatment system built to generate information about the behavior of the system for use in the design of the investment facilities. It is used in a specific area or in a process that has not been tried before.

DISINFECTION SYSTEMS

In drinking water treatment, disinfection is needed in the network or at the exit of the treatment plant. The purpose of disinfection of drinking and utility waters is to neutralize pathogenic microorganisms that may be harmful to health. In general, waters are disinfected by applying mechanical, physical, chemical, biological and radioactive methods.

HEAVY METAL REMOVAL SYSTEMS

Especially in industrial process water supply, heavy metal removal is required according to the needs of the process. In addition, heavy metals slow down metabolic reactions and have an extremely toxic effect on living organisms. In the world, environmental pollution increases with toxic heavy metals and dyes due to industrial development. Heavy metals such as Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, As, Pb and Zn with high solubility in aqueous environments are absorbed by living organisms. Therefore, wastewater containing metal must be treated before discharging into the environment.

OIL SEPARATION SYSTEMS

Oil separation in water contaminated by oil during production or contamination is necessary for both the equipment in the system and the discharge criteria to be met.

  • Oil – Water Separators (OWS)
  • Chemical Precipitation
  • Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)

Dissolved air flotation (DAF) is a method of removing emulsified oils and suspended substances from the water by floating. Compressed air supplied to the system creates air bubbles in the water. Flocks that are trapped on the surface of the air bubbles come to the surface of the water. While the flocs on the water surface are removed from the water with the help of a scraper, the particles that weigh more than water settle to the bottom of the tank. Water that is free from unwanted particles is drained and removed from the system.

INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS

It is the treatment systems required to return the wastewater generated by industrial processes and production to the receiving environment, the network or per process for reuse. Every industrial enterprise has different character wastewater formation. By considering these differences in the design of treatment systems, customer-specific solutions are produced.

  • Mud Concentration
  • Sludge Dewatering

As a result of this process, the sludge is made up of 20 – 45% solids. Thus, both a decrease in the amount of sludge and an increase in the calorific value of the sludge are achieved.
